Thanksgiving Holiday Visit To Hong Kong Cancelled

China has denied the Kitty Hawk and her escorts access to Hong Kong, denying thousands of sailors much needed holiday leave.  Port officials claim they had not been notified of the carrier group's scheduled visit, following China's tendency to ban U.S. ships from the former British colony during times of tense relations.

This comes on the heels of strained U.S.-China relations over disputes regarding trade, Iran's Nuclear Program, and the sudden appearance of a Chinese Sub amidst this very same carrier group recently.
